[GOOOOOD MORNING it's been a nice few days, and it's even starting to warm up slightly--oh, wait, never mind. Thick black clouds gather in the sky, and there's a rumbling thunder, with stray lightning bolts here and there. The rain alternates between freezing cold but sparse and just sheets of downpour.

Well if you're determined enough you can still go about your business! Though looking out your window you might catch Blossom running back and forth to SOMEWHERE and also....a tree suddenly in the middle of the pasture. Nothing notable about it for now though.

Anyway how yall doing.

[he has at least three people hanging onto him, a headful of new knowledge, and is processing a sudden situational timeskip with confusion and a somewhat hindered attempt to sit right the fuck up in alarm]

[he is incapable of saying anything without absolutely losing it so he just squeezes his hand without a word as Charon gets tackled into hugs]

[wheeze.

just pulls Lethe's face down into his shoulder]

[he's trying to hold it together don't do that!!!!

lets out a single, gut-wrenching sob. tries and fails to stop shaking all over.]

...You okay?

[shhhh. shhhh. holds onto him, a hand over the nape of his neck]

I am well.

[later in private, he will freak out over having been in the Nothing again before he could even process it, but in the moment we simply priority the Actually Wrecked]

Don't lie.

[the touch on his neck stops the shaking. his hand shifts to rest against the pulse at Charon's wrist, and his breathing starts to even out.]

Sorry. Give me a second.

Mm.

[...tugs Lethe slightly so his head is tucked a little more against Charon's neck, and he can feel the rapid bloodbeat there too]

[physical confirmation that Charon is alive is exactly what will help stave off this panic attack thank you Charon

it doesn't take too long for him to pull himself together--less than a minute and he's sitting up to look at him]

[he's sort of steadied up by then too, as he tends to do, but y'know.

reaches in and gently swipes the tears off of Lethe's cheek with the back of his glove]

A little better?

[self-consciously rubs at his face to make sure any tears are gone]

I'm fine. As long as you explain later.

It's too crowded here.

[barring speaking to Minuet, he also kind of wants to go inside before Stormy points accusingly at them or something tbh]

[gives a nod and offers him a hand]

Do you want to head back? Minuet still needs an arm, apparently.

[bites the inside of his lip]

Can we head over there a moment...? It would be--good to reassure him a little, too, before we go.

It's fine if he stews a little.

[even with the muttering, he nods like it's the obvious thing to do]

[squeezes him a little; more in understanding than reproach]

Just a few minutes.

...However long you both need is fine. I want to make sure he's okay too.

he still won't take too long, all things considered.]

[it is more convenient for him if they are both in the same place and he can keep an eye on them and make sure they aren't going to spontaneously combust and die again. he's not sure if that's a possible concern but it is now]

[it's still a concern but it's probably ok as long as neither of them keel over from sheer stress. Charon covers part of whatever exchange he has with Minuet with an illusion but otherwise it is about what you'd expect from two stressed out dudes who just came back to life, one after having his 'living nuke' trauma badly triggered

when it seems like Minuet's a bit calmer/in a steadier shape to head back to Bluebell, he looks over at Lethe again with a tiny nod]

[hovers at the periphery just enough to give them some privacy; at the nod he offers them both a hand to help them back]

[time to GO HOME

fortunately unlike Minuet Charon doesn't need any support]

[that's good because Minuet is so much work. he keeps an eye on Charon though--not overly much, but its a glance every now and then on their way back to make sure he's doing okay]

[if he isn't it's not in a way that's obvious at this moment! he's glancing at them both in a worried way instead, actually. it's possible they make accidental eye contact and both feel a bit silly]

[it gets a chuckle out of him when their eyes meet, which makes him feel a little less silly]

[i wish i could say he smiles back but it's not in him right now. does dip his head a little, though, acknowledging and rueful]
