[GOOOOOD MORNING it's been a nice few days, and it's even starting to warm up slightly--oh, wait, never mind. Thick black clouds gather in the sky, and there's a rumbling thunder, with stray lightning bolts here and there. The rain alternates between freezing cold but sparse and just sheets of downpour.

Well if you're determined enough you can still go about your business! Though looking out your window you might catch Blossom running back and forth to SOMEWHERE and also....a tree suddenly in the middle of the pasture. Nothing notable about it for now though.

Anyway how yall doing.

It's a bumpy landing either way because the moment his soul hits his body again, he shoots upright in straight-up primal panic. ]

[ The panic gives way to immediate relief, posture unfurling somewhat-- but it's very clear when realization and a renewed, different sort of panic hit.

Reaching for Lethe's arm, grabbing onto it urgently. ]

[the words come out with the cool sharpness of a knife, his tone making it clear that Charon being alive is a recent thing.

even if his tone is sharp, his hand is exceedingly gentle as he reaches to turn Minuet's head, checking where his throat got ripped out to make sure everything is fully healed]

[ He's fully healed aside from the missing arm (not the one that's usually missing), but concern about that is so very far from his mind right now. ]

[he is checking the spot where his arm should be next!!! still very gentle as he inspects the ragged edges where a new arm's gotta get attached.]

I don't know where your arm went, and I'm guessing you can't get it back. Can you do limbus?

[ It's healed, but it's not a clean cut. Beaks are such imprecise surgical tools.

Takes a deep breath, then another. ]

[Lethe's processing power is not All There at the moment, but he doesn't see the arm around anywhere and does know exactly what it looks like when a beak tears into flesh. and he understands where Minuet's focus is currently at.]

[ Thankfully(?!) Rubato appears with the mangled arm, and there's no immediate suggestion of reattaching the damn thing. Naughty disembodied limbs go in the morgue.

With the potential existential threat addressed, his eyes swivel to Lethe, finally. ]

[while Minuet is verifying the location of his mangled arm Lethe reaches for his only remaining attached arm, his hand circling around his wrist and staring at the metal there like he can will it to magically have a pulse. his head jerks back up at the question, caught off guard.]

Yeah, we're--everyone's fine. We got out okay.

[he can only say that because has not noticed Daffodil yet, but at a glance around everyone looks fine. there are no additional corpses.

the Lilies that Minuet can see are most likely pretty cut up; Lethe himself is still covered in knife cuts and has simply Not registered them.]

[ Watches him seemingly take a pulse on a metal arm like ??????? ]

[ Looking at him in very clear concern for a long second ]

[ Wait. The arm that counter-balances the heavy metal thing screwed onto his body is not there anymore.

[grabs him before he hits the ground, though that just slows his descent rather than stopping it]

[he's got just enough sheepdog super strength left to haul Minuet up and sling the metal arm around his shoulders]

Use lighter parts. How are we supposed to get you anywhere when you get hurt?

[ Thankfully he does not pull them both down by falling again ]

[frowns at him as he helps him back in silence. Lethe's disgruntled look just looks like concern the whole way. he's definitely disgruntled though, and not concerned.]

[ I mean, Minuet has never once been wrong in his assessments of how someone else is feeling, and Lethe is definitely resentful and furious at him for getting Charon killed. Which makes him the ONLY valid person in the entire pasture, actually. Fuckin same bro, no arguments here.

It's enough that he doesn't even ask what the FUCK happened with Blossom that triggered all this. ]

[MINUET PLEASE!!! learn to read minds it will save you so much trouble. don't ask about Blossom though, that's the correct thing to do here.

Lethe does not do anything to correct Minuet's understanding of his feelings, unfortunately; as long as Minuet keeps quiet, he does too]

[ GOOD TALK TEAM!!!!!!!!! Always getting good grades at Communication and Feelings over here.

He's silent all the way to Bluebell, where some kind of handoff presumably takes place. He does manage to get a murmured 'I'm sorry' in edgewise before disappearing inside, though. ]
