[anyone who tried to visit lily night 54 or through day 55 might have noticed there was not really much response and most of the team seemed to be away from home! whoopsie

on day 56 people start coming back or otherwise rousing from their post-kidnapping/trauma/werewolfing fugue states though. what up]

Yes. Like that. Their home lives seem complicated though.

I think that's just a side effect of being that kind of rich. The money goes to your head or to the heads of people around you, and things get messy. It's still not a great excuse for being a jerk to classmates who've never done anything to you.

I'd say part of it is the school, too. It doesn't sound like it's being run properly. If you leave a bunch of boys in a huge school with little to no supervision and a bunch of magic powers, of course things are going to go off the rails.

That's a good point. I've wondered where the hell the teachers were or what they're thinking almost every time Aides or Biscuit talk about it. Never thought I'd think teachers should be more strict.

Normally I'd be in favor of letting them experience their school life however they want to, but it's not a normal school! It's a school for magic users! Where almost everyone in the school has magic that could kill them! And they don't have any teachers properly supervising them! Just thinking about it gives me anxiety.

--But, that's the point I was trying to get to. Even if they're little brats, it might just be that no one's given them the opportunity to be nice when their school is as wild as that. Those are the kinds of things that can really shape a person.

Yeah, I get it... I think most of the other ones that have ended up here are pretty okay — at least the ones I've met. You're probably right that it is just the school and how weird rich society is making them mean. Otherwise they'd be just as much trouble here.

It's still obviously not an excuse for murder. Leviathan still needs to take responsibility for his actions, and you're not obligated to like him or forgive him just because he wants to be friends. Actually, did he tell you why he wants to be friends with you?

I'm not sure he had a reason... Scarab's the one who talked to him directly about it, and when he pressed him about it Leviathan said stuff like being enemies doesn't do us any good, and he'd be less of a threat as a friend.

I don't think he actually meant that as a threat though. He was just reacting to Scarab being...Scarab.

It might be another thing to ask Aides, then. If this is just how he makes friends, then maybe he doesn't know any other way to ask.

I'll add it to the list. I think Crescendo's pretty close to him too, so I can talk to him for another opinion.

Oh, yeah, Crescendo spends a lot of time with him. I don't know Leviathan that well, but I can talk to him too if you'd like me to.

I still talk to Angel Devil, and he did just as much to hurt us. I'm sure it sounds bad to you, but to me, Leviathan is still just a kid. He's responsible for the choices he made, but the adults around him are also responsible for looking after him.

Your soft spot for kids is way too big.

It's not that big. I just have a sense of responsibility as one of the oldest people here.

Plenty of old people don't care that much. You're different 'cause you're like an Ultimate Dad type.

How can I be an ultimate dad at thirty? It's basic human nature to care for other people. That's all.

You run around to check on every kid any time something happens here, you've got three actual kids at home, and you're raising the monsters of everyone you know.
