[once people head home after the ritual ends and have some time to settle in, everyone gets a cube call]

Hi. For those who don't know me, I'm Tyr from Thistle.

I know some of you are already preparing for the cold - but if you're not, you should start. I want to help make that a little easier, hence the call. So, I'll be stopping by everyone's barns to drop off some things.

The first is a piece of paper with ways to keep you and your barns warm. It's all practical, meaning you don't need anything special to do any of it. Some of it's common sense but I included it anyway.

I stuck a copy of it in the clinic's book, too. You're welcome to add to it if there's something you think I missed or should be included.

For the other thing, I'll need a volunteer from your barn. It's something for Red and in return you'll be getting some tools for your flock. I'll give more details in person, but anyone can do it. Or you can refuse, that's fine too.

Lastly, a few people have mentioned wanting to learn some self defense, so I'm putting the offer out there to teach anyone who wants to learn. Basic survival lessons, too.

Do all of you stay in the clubhouse? Besides the few I know who live elsewhere.

Well, I live here. But, I can only speak for myself. Anyone is free to go live in the forest, or wherever they like.

I'd rather not do a headcount.

I was just going to say: if your secret is how you really feel? Then you should be paying a little more attention to the people you share a space with. Better to know than not. [it isn't said unkindly]
