Bonsoir, tout le monde--it has been quite some time since I have had the pleasure of calling everyone in the pasture! In fact, perhaps it is overdue! Those who have been here since the beginning may recall we had a get together once, where we introduced ourselves and shared fruit between flocks. How fortuitous then, that another such occasion can easily be arranged!
The host of our latest ritual has generously helped us to transform our signature fruits into dishes to gift as we please! It would be a shame not to experiment a bit, non? Please join us at the buffet, where we may give our names and trade recipes, and do our utmost to express our Love and Thanks for our bonds old and new!
((ooc: THIS IS A LOVEBOMB RITE, AS WELL AS A RITUAL POST IN CHAOS MODE. Characters can just top-level wandering by and get jumped if you like! But if they engage with the premise, they can give a lil introduction--since not only do we have new faces, a lot have also chosen new names!--and people can reply to each other to fulfill their own flock's recipe. Ash gave the OK that this would basically make an dish that's a mash between flock foods. Effects can also be a mash, or sort of random (or I assume the effect can just be: makes you feel a little more full), GO WILD.))

There's a good chunk'a the population that can use some kind'a magic to some extent, but the ones who can be called full-fledged mages—people who've got enough magic in 'em for more'n just parlor tricks—are a statistically rare breed. Not just in occurrence, but survival rate—stronger potentials're naturally more likely t'die young.

Magic schools are by their nature are pretty rare—an' prestigious—for that reason. Like—how many schools d'ya expect there would be in, say, a country?

There is an Academy in a different part of the world but that's not magic based. It focuses on all sorts as far as I'm aware. I just find the prospect very unique if not a little whimsical. There are some very young Vision users so I actually think a school to teach others how to use their powers responsibly is an ideal thing to do.
