I have also let Leviathan-san know that we will be out in the forest. He expects a call by a certain time and will assume the worst if we do not follow through. Though I suspect we will all do just fine.

I let both Charon and Lethe know, and if anything goes seriously wrong I'm supposed to send up a flare for them. It sounds like we'll be more than covered if anything goes wrong though.

A flare is a smart item to carry on your person in the forest. That is good thinking in general, Ananke-kun.

I confess I am relieved they are allowing us to handle this.

Were you worried they wouldn't? I didn't think Minuet was that protective... Lily's always been fine with me going to the forest as long as I have someone else with me.

I suppose I just suspected they would disapprove. Or ask to come with.

I haven't yet. I've only been hit with the powder, so that's how I know about it.

I've been in the forest a couple of times for regular hunting though, so I'm not totally inexperienced.

[They might not be traipsing through the fog, but that doesn't mean the forest isn't dangerous, even with the animals becoming a little more scarce. Strange creatures still lurk about for the unwary, and the foliage, leaves, and sediment on the ground can easily cover pitfalls or burrowing threats.

On the flip side, perhaps they'll find some food or additional resources to take home!]

[ You won't see Caesura for the most part. They aren't expending the magic to be invisible yet, but a dark forest is their home turf. They slip from shadow to shadow quickly and silently. Unless you are extremely observant, even infrared vision will have a hard time tracking them. ]

[He knows that Caesura is with them, but he cannot help but marvel at how thoroughly they have completely vanished from sight as they set off. In contrast, while Crescendo remains relatively quiet, he cannot disguise the sound of his movement through the forest nearly as well.

I wonder if it might be helpful for our future selves to mark the path. This way, it will be easier to find again.

[ Bringing up the rear of the group, eyes lit up in the bright orange of Scarab's enhanced vision as he picks his way along the trail as quietly as he can. It's not enough to spot Caesura through their stealthy magic, but it's quite helpful in avoiding errant twigs and leaves that might draw unwanted attention.

Like carving arrows in the trees? It should be something small like that so we don't take too much time.

My thought was to carve something into the trees, precisely. Otherwise, we could tie some cloth to various landmarks, but I did not bring anything disposable like that.
