[Lily's shepherd missed the hot dog ritual, which is a little weird, because historically he has only missed rituals due to having been kidnapped by a demon into the mist, but it turns out today there are extenuating circumstances

those being 1. he figured out how to shift full cow-sized dragon while still under the costume light effects and 2. he finally went to go check out the beach, as you do when it got literally got paid for with your body and soul for a while there, and then fully went to sleep in the sand and sunshine.
