[Also after reading Mark's profile here are a few things he would be able to pick up about Odin:

1: he has two souls in his body. One 'awake'/in control, and one 'asleep'.
2: the 'asleep' soul is a god. Odin himself is human.
3: the extra soul is kind of stapled on there, like whoever combined them didn't do a good job and was kind of throwing stuff at a problem until it stuck.
4: he does have magic but it's a mix of his own power and the god's power, with most of it being the god's power.]

Magic, yes. Well...hypnosis with magic. It would take you talking to me about what happened. And then after that I would guide you into a trance and enter one of my own, during which I can in a sense find a way into your mind to the part you guided me towards and opened up, brought forward, by speaking of it. At that point it simply is a matter of precision in order to remove it which I'm well practiced at. Ordinarily I'm also able to help recover memories though that takes longer. But ah...considering I've forgotten my own name I suspect there's a greater hold on memories coming forward than in the usual circumstances.

Which is a bother as I do treasure my own missing name.
