[The clinic's limbus stores are dwindling so it's time to do a grocery run.]

[Azdaja has asked everyone to meet at Rose barn in the morning so they can get themselves geared up. When Fantasia and Maomao arrive, she lets them in to Rose's main room, which is fairly bare except for a fancy chaise and big plastic hamster tubes weaving in and out of the walls.]

[There's a tidy pile of gear laid out on the floor where everyone can see it. The pile contains the following:

• A machete in a leather sheath
• Four large jars filled with fresh water from the kitchen
• A little metal trowel that looks suspiciously handmade
• A pair of saddle bags
• Two 2-gallon stainless steel jugs that fit in the saddle bags
• Azdaja's personal leather satchel (can be worn as backpack or messenger bag]
• A whole mess of simple drawstring gym bags
• A bundle of homemade rope of various lengths and thicknesses]

Thank you both for coming — especially you, Fantasia. While our main objective of this expedition is to refresh the limbus supplies, I wouldn't mind taking our time and gathering anything else of use along the way. Since we may be out a while, I've prepared some fresh water for us to drink, and hopefully there will be edible forage for you two along the way.

[Looking to Maomao] The trowel and machete are for you to use, as is the satchel, if you'd like to borrow it. I'll carry the rest of this myself, if you two can do the actual harvesting of any materials we find. And Fantasia has volunteered to help us with defense should we run into any trouble.

[ but she's very pleased, going for the trowel first. if it's sized for Azdaja then surely Maomao can also use it, but also she's more interested in the idea of maybe trying to uproot and bring the limbus home ]

Do you need a knife or anything for collecting plant samples, or will the machete work?

The knife should be fine, unless there's any particularly tough vines... but I'll use both if necessary.

It's better for chopping, but it should do in this situation.

[ kaveh arrives with his partners in crime, tempo and vibrato. tempo has his chainsaw with him, because he's totally ready to hack & slash. vibrato... he's trying to drag a shovel along to the best of his tiny ability. ]

Don't mention it, Azdaja. I'm happy to help and I could always use more limbus goo. [ he has a sunflower with him, attached to his belt, as well as a satchel of his own that has a number of empty jars in it. ]

Another mechanical friend of mine. His name is Vibrato. He's more of a drone than anything... but he insisted on trying to help. [ thus the shovel. ] But he can fly up and keep tabs on the space around us, so we'll know if something's about to happen... hopefully a little sooner than it does.

Shovel and chainsaw and everything... What kind of plants are you planning to collect?

Anything and everything we come across. I don't think we'll find any Wolfsbane, especially if we're simply retreading former forest ground, but I do wonder if the mist has spurred any new flora growth.

All that aside, I do wonder if the limbus plant can be uprooted and replanted.

Alright. Let's get going. [ he summons tempo to his side. ] Tempo, show me the map, please. [ the tool box chirps - _pii~ pi ^piii~ - and he casts a green light in front of himself, one that looks like a 3D model of the forest peppered with little red dots. ] I had Tempo map out the route to the limbus plant when Zenith had taken me the one time.

[ the mist stirs around them, wolf wisps flying around, and a few bushes rustling here and there. ] It's going to take a while to get there though.

[ tempo looks so pleased with himself, so he does a little bop back and forth, which causes the map to shake just a little. ] I'm hoping to be able to map out more of this place, because then I can always make a print. It obviously won't be 3D, but... it'll be good enough to help everybody get around more easily.

Tempo is full of all sorts of surprises. [ he pats him. ]

And, yes, I think we'll be alright for the most part too. [ he removes his sunflower from his belt, shining it at any particularly misty areas. ] But we should be mindful of the puppets. They're not fun to deal with.
