[Rose has been running around for the past day and a half, prepping everything they'll need for the mist expedition to save Angel Devil from eternal wolfhood. But in the wee hours of the morning, the night before they planned to head out, Shadow Fiend's bell jingles gently. If she weren't still awake, she might have missed it. But she doesn't, and when she follows a hunch and checks on Angel Devil's location, she gets the distinct ping of a flock member in the pasture—before it recedes back into the vague sense of "in the mist."

So screw tomorrow morning. This might be the best chance they have of avoiding an extended mist expedition. And so, a mass cube call goes out, to all of Rose, and Lethe, Charon, and Maomao, too.]

WAKE UP! Um, sorry. Change of plans, we're going after Angel Devil now. I just sensed him at the edge of the mist. He stepped back inside, but he can't have gone far—this might be our best chance. He's not far from where we planned to meet up tomorrow, too. Okay! See you there.

[Past the fence, in the outer meadow, near the new edge of the mist, a few sunflowers have been activated and tossed onto the grass to guide people over and provide some light for anyone who can see in the dark. More unactivated sunflowers are piled up for those who want them.

In the middle of the sunflowers is the pile of the Angel Devil bait that Rose has prepared: his clothes, favorite bath products, some chopped apples, and a few of the ugly yet comfortable cushions.

The mist expedition party will be heading out as soon as everyone's buffed and ready, but there's still a few minutes to chat first.]

[Shadow Fiend is busy fussing over the bait, wearing the scale armor she borrowed from Red. The glaive she borrowed from Red is strapped to her back, and she has a couple unlit sunflowers tucked in a makeshift belt. She's got her shepherd's staff in hand, as usual.

She ponders the hasty set-up, thoughtful.]

Maybe I should have brought the sheep after all...

[ she is definitely grabbing a sunflower for herself, checking and rechecking her sleeve for the wolfsbane plant she was asked to bring. and yawning. ]

I hope we can get this over quickly...

Mmm... Actually, let's not. We'd need to bring a whole bunch over so they can practice whatever Angel Devil was training them on, and that'd take too much time. Also they're actually people and that's kind of weird.

Uhhh. Well, long story short, Thistle stole a golden statue from some demon's cave in the mist. Do you remember the explosion this morning? That was them.

And then later they invited all the shepherds to come see the statue.

And then the statue turned back into a person, a guy with ram horns, and then that guy turned into a little purple sheep. Like, one of those sheep that wander around and don't seem to be thinking anything? Yeah. One of those.

Soooo... The sheep are actually people!

I just hope he remembers the experience.
