[Something late afternoon, everyone on Rose received a quick cube call from Shadow Fiend, asking them to meet in the evening for Serious Business Discussion about something that's happened to Angel Devil. There is no ice cream this time, but the usual basket of apples has been moved from the kitchen to the central living area, so people can snack on them while flopped on the couch or cushion pile.

Once everyone's who's coming has gathered, Shadow Fiend gets right to it.]

So, um. Blood Fiend and Angel Devil and a couple other people went into the mist, and Angel Devil got bitten by a werewolf, and now he's lost in the mist. As a wolf.

Soooo... this meeting is for figure out how to get him back!

If we can dose him with wolfsbane, it'll reverse the effects of the werewolf bite. The problem is, you know, getting it into him, since he's now a huge feral wolf. But! I was thinking--if we can lure him out of the mist, then we could, like, use a whole bunch of vines to hold him down long enough to feed him the wolfsbane. Or knock him out and then feed it to him. Either way.

Something like this is really gonna have to be a group effort, so that's why I wanted to get everyone's ideas on how to lure him out and also knock him out. And, well, it's definitely going to involve at least a short trip into the mist, and possibly fighting Angel Devil a little if the vines aren't 100% effective. So...if you're not up for either part of that, or you ARE up for all of that, or you're up for some parts but not other parts...this is a good time to say that, too.

Can you tell me a bit more about the mist? All I know about it is that "it's harmful" but I don't have any other details.

It's full of monsters and stuff? Like, actual scary monsters. We had a few mist wolves break through the fence once and it was, uh, not good!

Flock powers don't work in there, and if you're not touching a Weed you can't see what's going on and get lost and disoriented reeeeally easily.

So he's a wolf now? How contagious is he? I don't know much about how all the werewolf stuff works, just that it exists.

I know! A head's up might've been nice. Like, what if BOTH Angel Devil and Blood Fiend didn't come back, and then we just had to sit around for days and days trying to figure out if they were just hiding somewhere or actually in some deep shit??

I discussed the situation with Lily's shepherd. He suggested that we bring Lethe, but wanted me to check with you guys if we'd accept the help. I have some idea of Lethe's skillset, and I know that Charon wouldn't suggest his own teammate lightly.

He has a range of resistances to status effects, some mental skills, and some party buffs. I don't doubt that he has more; Charon clearly knows more than I do. I think Lethe would rather talk about the specifics himself, if we accept the help.

- explain what Wolf Devil looks like. see visual ref. tell them that he is Big
- explain Wolf Devil's magic draining spell (Osmosis/he doesn't know the name). purple wolf skull in the visual ref above

LILIES
- Lethe already suggested ICly above
- at some point he tells Shadow Fiend that Charon will come grant them magic immunity for the quest. relay that neither Charon nor Lethe are going into the mist (Lethe is assumed on his part)

WEEDS
- suggests birds, I think this is veto'd by Date/Jade
- will veto Your Name and Maomao but allow Maomao in a pinch
- MAY suggest Edgelord depending on how statue heist goes. TBD

MECHANICS
- explain that sunflowers imitate real sunlight, explain that they activate by twisting the middle of the stem, explain everything about sunflowers from the compendium. tell everyone to bring a sunflower into the mist. have them pick sunflowers asap
- speaking of light. DON'T CAST DARKNESS SPELLS IN THE MIST. DARKNESS ON SHADOW BAD. if y'all still wanna do that he's not your boss but THE WARNING IS HERE
- explain that Angie became a wolf in the mist during the day, so we know that it's possible to find him there as a wolf during the day
- explain that while in the pasture, the natural sunlight auto transforms werewolves back into people, werewolves only happen in the pasture between sunset and sunrise
- explain wolfsbane mechanics. infected people that are not yet wolves -> drink wolfsbane tea before sunset. people who have already transformed once -> eat whole wolfsbane flower after sunset.
- suggest going into the mist during the day, lure Angie back, have him auto revert to base form by virtue of sunlight. throw him in jail and feed him wolfsbane later that night after he transforms

OOCLY WE KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT WHAT WILL HAPPEN and that the mist trip happens reactively during the night instead of proactively during the day and it ends up being a clusterfuck scramble. which leads us to...

FIFI SPECIFICALLY
- assume icly for now that Blood Fifi's planning on going along w/ whatever everyone else does in the mist/mist's edge. planning to stay back, see below
- oocly i'm writing him out of the mist by having him retrieve wolfsbane from Maomao while the rest of them go on the impromptu run. nobody knows this icly. he and Shadow Fiend agreed to not have him go into the mist and to not approach until Angie is tranq'd for fear of agitating the wolf. this was communicated to Charon night 26
- he will rock up with the wolfsbane and even more sunflowers once Angiewolf has crossed back into the meadow. subject to change ]

THE PLAN (please do not comment in case of edits)

Part 1 (Prep - Day 26/27, day)
Assorted things that will happen on-screen or off-screen to prepare:
- Shadow Fiend, Pond Fiend, and Face-Making Devil step in and out of the mist, to test whether she can locate Angel Devil and to just generally experience it
- Various Angel Devil baits gathered (everyone feel free to think up a contribution)
- Practicing with vines if anyone's not used to them
- Gather sunflowers

Part 2 (The Quest - Day 27, night)
ICly, the plan is to prep everything and go after Angie morning of Day 28. But due to Angel Devil revealing that he's near the edge of the mist, everything will happen Day 27, night instead. This plan takes the ICly altered schedule into account.
- Shadow Fiend senses Angel Devil stepping out of the mist briefly and alerts everyone that this might be their best shot.
- Everyone heads out to prep the bait, apply buffs, etc. The bait will be placed somewhere in the outer pasture, beyond the fence and away from the barns/town. People not up for going into the mist can stay with the bait to make sure it doesn't get eaten by gatordawgs or something. (During bait-setting, Blood Fiend will be hanging back to avoid agitating Angel Devil with his presence.)
- Shadow Fiend, Pond Fiend, Face-Making Devil, and Maomao go into the mist to get Angel Devil's attention and lead him out of the mist to the bait.
- While Angie is preoccupied with the bait, Rose coordinates to restrain Angel Devil in vines.
- Vine trap will be partially successful. Angel Devil will resist and some fighting happens here. Blood Fiend tanks Ultima Fang at this point.
- Mini-fight continues, as Face-Making Devil's tranq bullets start to kick in. Other people can also contribute status effects, etc. to help knock Angel Devil out because he's a big-ass wolf.
- Once Angel Devil is knocked out, shove wolfsbane into him.
- SUCCESS!!!

[OOC: You can assume that Shadow Fiend would keep everyone updated on the plan and aim to go after Angel Devil on Day 28, morning. And expect a midnight cubecall Day 27, night, when Angel Devil reveals himself.

Some things still need to be worked out and I will edit in details as we confirm them.]

Day 27, mist test

[some point in Day 27, Shadow Fiend will ask Face-Making Devil and Pond Fiend to head to the edge of the mist with her, somewhere in the outer pasture. she's got three sunflowers harvested earlier, one for each of them.]

Okay, Blood Fiend said we probably won't need a Weed's help to just, like, test out of the mist. We're not gonna go very far anyway. Are you guys ready?

Oh! That's a good idea. We could probably use some vine as a rope if we tie it to something... Once we're in the mist, flock powers won't work, so if one of us is actively controlling it, it'll stop working. But once it's cut off from the ground it's not being flock-powered, right? So that should be fine, probably!
