Open memory to whomstever
He keeps trying to get Zidane to stand still and bask in the light of the big blue crystal in the center of the room, but the kid keeps fidgeting. Finally, Zidane whines, ]
I don't like these things. They feel weird.
[ Angie crosses his arms, looking on the verge of snapping, before... looking around, surreptitiously. They're alone. He gets an idea. ]
What if I... made it show you something fun, instead?
[ Zidane tail curls up like an @ sign, and he practically darts over, a billion questions-- Angie holds up a hand in front of him, a gesture to stop, then moves the same hand to his lips and says... ]
Shhhhhhh. Or I won't do it.
[ Angie turns to one of the big.. triangles with the seal of Terra on it.. and starts messing with it in an arcane way that makes the light coming from the crystal flutter. When he's done, he smiles smugly. ]
Go and see what you think of that.
[ ...Zidane approaches the crystal again, to let its light wash over his skin... and immediately is riveted, by whatever it now shows him.
The memory ends. ]
Re: Open memory to whomstever
What did he think?
[ do you remember? ]
Re: Open memory to whomstever
...I don't know. This one was another blank. Surprise, surprise...

Re: Open memory to whomstever
Two days...
...that was longer ago than THAT, wasn't it...?
[ he thinks you're talking about when he promised to free you from your chains of pretending not to care about Lily, or whatever ]
Re: Open memory to whomstever
Do you remember waking up on the couch at all?
Re: Open memory to whomstever
he remembers feeling a seething fear, but not why.
...well, that's not quite right. Reasons come to him slowly, the more he thinks about it. But now that it's pointed out, there's a hole, like a missing stair. He feels a sense of profound déjà vu.
His brow is furrowed. ]
I... now that you mention it...

Do you remember your request...?

[ He leans heavily against the rough outer wall of the laundromat. Feels an urge he generally, doesn't. Gives in to the impulse to hug his arms to himself, in what can only nominally be called 'crossing his arms.' The bleary remnants of the memory are uncomfortable. Clearly, Blood Fiend understands it is, that he dragged him over here.
There's no point not to. He submits to looking the part.
(for some reason, he thinks briefly of the feeling of feathers.)]
Something bad happened. That's it. And... I came up there for some reason...? To your-- larger, lighthouse. It's on the tip of my tongue...

actually maybe it's entirely rational, seeing at Blood Fiend has a recording, and all. ]
...How secretive would you guess I'd want to be about... whatever this is.

Re: Open memory to whomstever
[The memory doesn't really make any sense to her, but his red-headed appearance is familiar, at least.]
