[ Your barn has a new???? (temporary???) addition! One of the outside walls now has a cabinet of various drinks, all of which sits behind what appears to be an L-shaped bar counter, complete with a sink, ice box, and glass cabinet on the inner side, and stools for customers(?) on the outer side.

Posted on the wall is a recipe book, and above it, a big chalkboard listing the various drinks from said recipe book.

Tied to the drinks cabinet are a number of ribbons in your barn's color. Wonder what those are for. ]

I can handle fruit... let's see.

I used to be part of a... well, they called themselves "diplomats", but it was really more of a shady criminal organization. I was useful to them, so I ended up becoming one of their higher-ups.

They were some of the most annoying people I've ever had the displeasure of working with.

...I don't like messes, but I can't stand perfect orderliness, either. Sometimes I go about the barn and deliberately put things askew so looking at it doesn't bother me as much.

Interesting... I prefer my spaces clean, but I'll keep that in mind.

...I think it might be obvious, but I didn't enjoy having subordinates. I preferred to work solo most of the time, but they'd usually assign me underlings. They were annoying at best, and incompetent at worst. The kind of idiots you'd expect to join a criminal organization.

I had a reputation, though. Most of them were too afraid to be assigned to me.

Oh, it's not too much, I promise- just... hm. Imagine a box of chalk, freshly opened. It's nice and tidy, right? But... just looking at those perfect lines and rows is upsetting. So if I were to have an open box of new chalk, I'd simply... break one of the pieces. Two halves are only very mildly inconvenient, and the perfection is tarnished so it's easier for me to stomach looking at. A-and I try not to let it bother anyone else...

( she listens though, tail swaying slowly. )

... And... how do you feel about having us around, then?

[ He tilts his head curiously at her chalk analogy... but he averts his eyes to the side at her question. ]

I don't get how anyone can talk to them, let alone trust them. It's obvious they were brought here with ulterior motives. It's stupid to engage with them at all.

I have no intention of letting her have free rein. And I've always been careful about what I say to them, I promise.

... Honestly, I just... I don't want to be antagonistic. But she's the only one I've spoken to at length, and it- it feels like that memory of my mother, almost every time.

... But I don't have that loyalty I had to her. I won't bend to her.

That sounds fine... we should layer the different flavorings so they make a gradient of some kind.
