Oh, so I'm second choice after you got rejected?

[he's teasing. But he does nod to the door. Come with him, he knows a place.]

I hope you don't mind picking up the pieces of my shattered heart.

[but he stands and follows Odin towards the door]

We'll even frolic through a meadow to repair those pieces.

[There will be no frolicking.

But once they're outside, Odin will lead Lupin over to the lighthouse.]

[his brows raise as they approach the lighthouse. out of all the places Odin could have taken him, this one was unexpected]

[Grinning, Odin points up.]

If you get above the lights it gives you a nice view, especially at night.

[slowly, his lips curve into a grin]

Are you offering to help?

I'm not gonna third wheel a date for you, but I'll take you up there this time.

[He'll tap Lupin's shoulder and up they gooooo!]

Obviously there's no date.

[he'll just let Odin lift them up to the top of the lighthouse. one day he'll scale it by his own power, but that day is not today]

Not yet at least.

[Sometimes he chooses to be obnoxious on purpose.

But up on the top they go! It's actually a very nice vantage point up there, and is plenty large for a few people to lay all the way down. Odin takes a seat to look out over the meadow.]

[RESISTING THE URGE TO SHOVE ODIN BECAUSE THEY'RE VERY HIGH UP NOW, but he does give him a WITHERING look]

[. . . which lasts all of two seconds before his attention is captured by the view of the pasture. he inhales and exhales a deep breath, almost as though he's expelling some kind of tension]

. . . yeah. Very nice.

It makes everything seem so small.

Yeah. Even the forest looks tiny from up here.

[They can probably see all of the map actually, given how tall the lighthouse is. Up to the fog on all sides except the forest.]

The fog really goes on forever, doesn't it? There's no way we're walkin' away from here.

[leaning back on his hands, basking in the brisk morning breeze that whips through the air]

. . . yeah. But that much was obvious from the beginning.

But I can't help but wonder. . . what's beyond that wall of mist?

It's hard to know unless we can go that far out. Think one of your personas can carry you out there?

[survivaltricks]

[shakes his head]

Probably not. If the stupid ram demon wanted a sacrifice to clear the mist, then there has to be something supernatural about it.

None of your personas have a 'clear mist' ability?

[...hm.]

Actually, what personas do you even have right now?

[survivaltricks]

[oh. . .]

That's right. You've only ever seen Satanael.

I have twelve of them on me right now. It might be too much to show them all to you, but maybe another one or two?

[shortforever]

How about you pick one? I'm sure it'll be cool regardless.

[Pick one of his arcanas that he doesn't know about maybe.]

[he's quiet for a moment as he considers the request, and then with a flash of blue fire, a new figure suddenly appears in the air above him]

[. . . well. new in a certain sense of the word. Odin might recognize the Persona as the one Lupin used to chop off Loki's arm, but that is neither here nor there!]

[Back during everything with Loki's arm, Odin had been too distracted to notice the feeling. But now, without pressing matters distracting him, he finally notices.

He gasps quietly as he grabs onto the front of his chest, not in pain necessarily but more like he's been startled by something. For a moment, his heart feels weird and the world spins around him.

It only last for a moment, but it's enough for Odin to lose his balance on the sloped roof of the lighthouse and fall right over the edge.]

[-- oh. oh. that wasn't the reaction Akira had expected, and the moment Odin grabs for his chest, he dissipates Ongyo-Ki back into the recesses of his mind]

O--

[it all happens so fast. Odin grasping at his shirt, jerking back, clearly startled (by. . . his Persona?) and then he's losing his balance and slipping off the edge of the roof, and Akira reacts, lashing out with one hand in an attempt to grab Odin's wrist or his shirt or something, literally anythng to keep him from falling]

-- Odin!

[Odin is in a bit of a daze from whatever just happened to him, and by the time he's falling he barely has time to react, reaching his free hand out towards Lupin-

But their fingers just barely slip past each other and Odin goes tumbling to the ground.

It's not a long fall, the lighthouse isn't too tall. But it's tall enough for a sickening crunch to be heard a few seconds later.]

[WHEEZES]

[Akira flings himself off the top of the lighthouse in a heartbeat, summoning Satanael to gently lift him to the ground. and once his feet touch the grass, he bolts to Odin's side, crouching next to him and reaching for his shoulder as his gaze washes frantically over his body, searching for any obvious injuries]

Odin!
