[the sun goes down; the two moons rise.

it all looks...quite different. the laundromat lengthens and transforms the silhouette of Woolietown in the distance. the lighthouse beacon comes to life for the first time, throwing strong, brilliant light and stark shadows across the meadow and into the barns. the lazy river encircles the pasture in a glittering band, the bobbing shapes of the pool toys a little bit eerie until they drift into full view.

perhaps some of you are winding down. perhaps some of you are just gearing up for a wild adventure in the shadows. perhaps some of you, regardless of if you sleep or stay up, find your dreams and nightmares crawling out beyond the bounds of your own head tonight, drawing others in...

the night is full of possibilities.]

[it might take a little bit due to a certain someone being very good at the whole grave digging and tomb building thing, but the stone start to move, revealing the grave with... very loose dirt. like something's been moving in it.

the pale, bloody hand clutching onto a metal buckle from a belt wrapped around it is visible, but apparently stopped moving at some point during the frantic digging]

[KIND OF HARD TO CHECK IT NOW WHEN IT'S THE METAL HAND but you yank the limb and along with the limb comes a torso and head. face under the dark hair and gravedirt sure has a similar pallor to a corpse. just also probably good to note the dirt around his nose and lips is muddy. y'know. like how it'd look if someone has been desperately trying to keep it from settling and getting to the lungs.

[yeah, except he's gonna fight against being laid down at that name, fingers hooking onto whatever cloth or belt they can find so he can stay upright, breathing hard, eyes squeezed tightly shut almost like he's terrified if he opens them, he'll end up right back in there--]

[voice raw, torn, like he's definitely come close to tearing apart his vocal cords even though everything had been so quiet, earlier.]

[cool. cool cool one hand's dropping to dig fingers into the hard earth like he's finding proof of that and that... honestly, that seems to cause something to crumble. starting as something like a whimper, a whine until the first cry escapes. it's not as devastating as the only other time he's cried in front of Vash, mostly because his voice breaks and shatters after a point too worn out, but it's definitely the kind of crying he refuses himself when awake, so...

anyway, it's not quiet by any means, which of course means that there's the sound of the church door opening, small figured daring to poke their heads out to see what in God's name is going on.
