🌑︎ 🌑︎
WHO: all
WHERE: all
WHEN: Day 9, evening into night
[the sun goes down; the two moons rise.
it all looks...quite different. the laundromat lengthens and transforms the silhouette of Woolietown in the distance. the lighthouse beacon comes to life for the first time, throwing strong, brilliant light and stark shadows across the meadow and into the barns. the lazy river encircles the pasture in a glittering band, the bobbing shapes of the pool toys a little bit eerie until they drift into full view.
perhaps some of you are winding down. perhaps some of you are just gearing up for a wild adventure in the shadows. perhaps some of you, regardless of if you sleep or stay up, find your dreams and nightmares crawling out beyond the bounds of your own head tonight, drawing others in...
the night is full of possibilities.]

Your men? Hah! They don't scare me.
no subject
Yeah? Then jump out that window and find out just how prepared they are for you. Or you can return the things you stole and face justice.
no subject
[with a cheeky salute, he falls out the window, vanishing into the night]
no subject
[immediately jumps over to the window and leans out to see if there's any kind of safe path to follow. he's not gonna freefall or anything, but, he can do a reasonable amount of parkour for the sake of chasing after a Criminal(tm)]
no subject
[the window opens out into the crisp night air, the wind blowing gently across his face. the first thing he'll notice: he is SUPER HIGH UP. like, at least six stories up. a free fall is not a great idea!]
[the second thing he'll notice is a flash of black and white out of the corners of his vision; should he look further, he'll find that Lupin, apparently, climbed the storm gutter all the way to to the rooftop. the entire building is surrounded by police cars and flashing lights, so. what's he planning on doing up there??]
no subject
he glances at the ground to make sure his cops are still all down there--the thief has to stop going up eventually! or something!--and just climbs the gutter after him. it's not an especially graceful climb, but it gets the job done]
no subject
[. . . until Lupin's head sticks out from beyond the roof. is he holding. . . a vat full of slime??]
[???!!? WHERE'D HE GET THAT]
[(dream logic)}
Nice hustle, detective! Here's a gift for all of your hard work.
[anyway he's dumping the slime down on top of poor Honey. it will make climbing pretty slick from here on out!]
no subject
[are there any sufficient bricks or pieces of the building jutting out within arm's reach? climbing up those seems like it will be safer and faster than trying to climb up a gutter that's been slick slime'd]
no subject
[but yes, there are plenty of hand and foot holds on the bricks of the building to climb on, if Honey wants to! Lupin seems to be waiting to see what he does before he makes his NEXT THIEF MOVE]
no subject
[Honey is for sure abandoning the gutter, it's dead to him now. he grabs a brick and goes much faster from there--he's able to use more force to propel himself up from the hand and foot holds, however small they are, and make it to the roof unless Lupin has any more dastardly tricks up his sleeve]
no subject
Not bad, not bad. You're pretty impressive-- for a detective.
Are you going to tell me you have me cornered?
no subject
[he walks towards to him casually, like they're just two guys talking about the weather, getting as close as he can to see at what point Lupin decides to bail off the roof. as he goes he tries to wipe off at least some of the slime.]
