[the sun goes down; the two moons rise.

it all looks...quite different. the laundromat lengthens and transforms the silhouette of Woolietown in the distance. the lighthouse beacon comes to life for the first time, throwing strong, brilliant light and stark shadows across the meadow and into the barns. the lazy river encircles the pasture in a glittering band, the bobbing shapes of the pool toys a little bit eerie until they drift into full view.

perhaps some of you are winding down. perhaps some of you are just gearing up for a wild adventure in the shadows. perhaps some of you, regardless of if you sleep or stay up, find your dreams and nightmares crawling out beyond the bounds of your own head tonight, drawing others in...

the night is full of possibilities.]

It does seem like it would be less straightforward, fufu!

These are merely the spoils I collected for my flock over the past day or so while exploring the woods. I thought trying to weather another night while attempting to protect so many items wouldn't be restful so it was best for me to return.

Ah, oui, it so happens I tend to feel quite at home in the wilderness, so exploring on my own is less dangerous than it may sound. I wouldn't recommend it for those who aren't able to make peace with nature though.

[They definitely weren't, though it's also all like gardening tools and not dangerous hunting implements or anything like that. A little odd that he brought those along.]

Ah--these. They are actually a result of an experiment I wanted to conduct! I wonder if you can guess the nature of it.

You were tryin' to dig something up, but you found another way to do it so you didn't need the tools.

Fufu, a reasonable conclusion! But that isn't the case. I wished to see if those woolly spiders would instinctively repair broken objects left near their nests. The experiment was a success!

So anytime we need something fixes we take it to them? Neat.

Oui! Though it is good to take care when doing so, and bring something like old bones or rotted logs for them as well when you wish to retrieve the objects. It's important to act with care as startling or upsetting them may trigger a swarm.

De rien! I thought it would be nice if more people knew about the roles the mysterious creatures of this world play in the ecosystem, there is much to appreciate about them!
