Yes, and no. When a soul comes here, it's not uncommon for it to resist, to fight, to mourn. It may linger, it may weep, and then finally, it will rest. We will guide it to its Peace in the Nothing.

But there have been too many. Some that did not belong, some that had awakened. The balance was off, and even now, it's still shifting.

A new Death is inevitable.

Death is Death, always and forever.

The souls that belong should be laid to rest. Those trapped within the king freed, those that linger between this realm and the next, decided upon.

If he does let them go, and they're ready... you can guide them on? And the king himself, if that's what he chooses?

We've been ready to do so for many moons now.

It does make me wonder, though, what the point is in trying to kill the holy beasts. Could chalk it up to the guy just being crazy, but I'm not convinced.

The King has become a being of Nightmares. Of Fear and Grief.

A nightmare that takes Life.

A nightmare that consumes Dreams.

A nightmare trapped in Time.

A nightmare one cannot escape in Death.

It is only natural for it to seek to destroy Everything.
