[The Queen is sitting at the poker table, talking to (or more accurately: 'at') anyone nearby.]

...So, you see, my death at the ritual today was just as planned! It was all strategy! I called that demon out with a bet. A bet that no matter what happened, when everything looked pointless, the sheep would absolutely, one hundred percent, no hesitation, decide to throw us, the so-called 'evil' team, under the bus to save their own skin. And they took it! They wagered the sheep would be selfless to the end. Ha! That's the suckers' bet. Never bet on hope. Despair is going to win, every time!

[She finishes shuffling cards.]

So, that's how I won a bet, that's why we have this new barn, and I've got a sore throat.

[she grins]

No. He was tortured, and his legs were broken, but some of the others present managed to rescue him.

Well, if it's to check on someone who was tortured half to death, it remains to be seen how "fun" it will end up being.

Eh. Thistle's always fun. They might invite us to stay for "video games" or a "sleep over," or somethin'.

A... what? What sort of game is that?

A "video game?" There're a lotta different kinds! It shows stuff on a screen and you do stuff. I like the dancin' one in the building with the books and things, but Thistle's got their own room with 'em.

Show stuff... and you do stuff? That sounds terribly vague. And what's this about dancing?

There's a screen that shows things! For the dancin' one, it shows arrows, and you gotta step on arrows at the right times.

Thistle's ones are a little more complicated...

What, it gives you instructions as you dance? [ You can practically see the gears turning in her head. ] Well, that's an idea...

More complicated in what way?

Like, there's one where you race carts around and try to hit stuff...

You thinkin' of somethin'?

Just that it might be useful for practice, since I haven't exactly been keeping up...

Well, it's pretty excitin' music. I like doin' it with flips and stuff.

The game is just steppin' on the arrows, but that means ya can do whatever else ya want to make it more fun!
