that's the only word he can think of for it. Zidane's sitting in an open window of a house Kuja has only ever seen as a rooftop, balancing a dagger on his pointer finger. he's older. grown, completely, and dressed in princely finery he's solidly refusing to wear the 'proper' way.

[ it's like a switch flips. Quetzal twists away on his heel, and holds the knife up high as he can. Just immediately sliding into evil big brother keep away mode, except it absolutely doesn't work because Zidane flat out pounces on him. ]

but sometime midmorning on Day 101, flock members will hear a polite but insistent rapping at their barn doors! if they open up they will find the little black sheep ghost Charon favors hovering there, carrying a packet of notes. looks like Lily made good on the supplement to Red's rundown they mentioned they'd do!

the ghost will stick around until a team member who actually wants the info takes it, then do a little bow and vanish. if you wanna talk to Charon or Lily afterwards, it's right there in the note on top: just call him, or drop by their barn.]

[ this dream of what could be... is set in the pasture. nothing looks all that different. it's hard to tell what's so special about this shift in perspective at all.

except the walk angel devil's taking isn't purposeful. he's not accompanying anyone, not bossing around sheep. he's meandering a field beyond the main fence in a numb haze, a little bit of charred machinery cupped in his bloodied, gloveless hands. ]

[ he'd been lost in a memory of a Cycle -- fire riven skies, a harsh pain a blade bit far into his side-- and had made it to the door, still within that reverie, when the scent and sound of a pouring tea finally wakes what was too deeply sleeping. he places his hand to where his wound now wasn't, just skin in a pale plane.

he sits down at a twee little table. he looks... confused. calm, but confused. all these trees... the girl down under the shade... but this isn't the air of a place where one would be hiding. was that spot where a bookshelf had been? or was it over there? ]
