[ a yellow sheep in green wool throws his cards on the table with a huff, because this is the second game he's lost in a row. he could cut his losses, but the mischievous glint in his eyes as he collects & shuffles the cards says he's going for broke. ] Okok. Just one more hand, but this time it's for everything!
Another? [ the green sheep smirks and shakes his head, placing his cards on the table to be reshuffled. ] As expected with you... just know that the probability of you winning the next hand is exceptionally low.
[ spade snickers, ] Hah, we'll see about that. [ he deals the cards and puts on his poker face, ] I'm not going to let you and your numbers beat me. [ again. ] Let's do this. Game on, Club. [ the sheep play another hand, but this time spade wins, and he looks infuriatingly smug about it. ]
[ this time Club tosses his cards on the table. ] It was dumb luck. That's all.
uhHuh. It's always 'dumb' luck when I win. [ he brushes off club's comment. ] But you know what this means, I get to decide who we summon. [ he swipes the cards off the table and slams down a book that looks like a four year old made. ] And because I'm feeling so lucky I'm going to let the dice decide. [ he produces a pair, which he rolls immediately. ] Oho. [ flip flip flip BAP. ] It's going to be this one. Do you have a knife?
That seems like an ill-advised idea. [ he leans back and opens his own book to read instead, feigning disinterest. he holds up a knife once prompted, sliding it across the table. ] But it's your funeral.
[ spade cuts himself and draws the rune on the table. he waits and waits and waits and... nothing. ] It didn't work. [ he starts collecting the cards he swiped aside. ] I can't believe it didn't wo- [ as soon as he sets them down in the middle of the run it colors, light exploding outward and summoning a demon. ] Oh! It did work, would you look at th- HRK!
[ the demon, one-of-a-kind, sets his massive claws on each of their heads until their eyes and the suit adornments on their wool start to glow red. ] Did you two really summon me without a proper sacrifice? Now that just won't do. [ his eyes land on the cards scattered around and he chuckles darkly. ] Well how's about we fix that with a little game?

(frozen comment) IC RULES.
• At the start each team rolls a d10 and the team with the higher number goes first. You’ll both be dealt a hand of (3) and each turn you must play (1) card.
• Each time a card is played the pile total increases by a certain amount and under no circumstances do you want the total to exceed 99. If it does, then the team that played that card loses.
• Every card has a specific value and they are as follows:
• If/when the pile total goes over a multiple of 10 ( 10, 20, 30, etc ) for the first time one of the grassy segments ( seen here ) will fall apart & drop out, revealing something special.
(frozen comment) OOC RULES.
• 99 will last about 3-5 hours, but it can potentially run short/long depending on how slow/quick your group is.
• Each team will roll a d10 to start and the team with the highest roll will go first.
• Both teams will be dealt a starting hand of (3) cards and then the team that won the roll will have (20) minutes to select and play a card. An example of this is... If you play a 5, then the pile total is 5, and then it’s your opponent’s turn. If they play a Jack, then the pile total is 15. If you then play a 6, then the pile total is 21. And so on and so forth.
• This continues until the pile total exceeds 99… so basically 100+.
• If your team refuses to play a card, then a d3 will be rolled and that card will automatically be played, but one of your team will be compelled to play it and then they’ll be punished.
For the gamerunner’s sake please try to avoid doing this every single turn.• No powers & no items.
• In the next comment you'll notice you have a private room meant for discussions and turn-ins. However, there will also be a space below for you to see your adversary. It's unfortunate, but you can't talk to your competitor; the glass in between your rooms much too thick for that. However, you will be able to see any unfortunate accidents or inflicted punishments. ° chrysalide affliction aka chestburster
° inundated by corrosive poison, so bones, muscles, and/or organs start slowly dissolving

° respiratory consumption
Each time your team plays a 4, you all individually select one of the above. Each time your team plays a 9, then entire other team individually selects one of the above.

Prizes: Healed of all punishments.
A fancy poker table with decks of cards & stacks of chips.
A fancy outfit of your choosing.
A free weapon*! ( nothing bigger than as sword/staff, so no bazookas/chainsaws. you can choose gun, but no machine guns, because it'll have a max of six bullets )

And for the flocks a new fruit
except Rose who apparently already maxed out their fruit. Bluebell's tree now sprouts Blackberries. Daffodil's tree now sprouts Grapefruits, and their tree also warps into a giant Daffodil-like tree, and it still produces all its previous fruits.And for the weeds, instead of a fruit they get some booze & mixers.

How many is up to you.Maybe it's a head there and an arm here and a torso there. In any case, One-of-a-Kind's parting "gift" is to make you into your own game of 52 pick-up. Your cards get sprayed around the pasture, so the other people will have to find all of the you cards and bring them together. Once they do you'll pop out of the cards with whatever punishment you had during the game ( if you had any punishments ) and you'll feel incredibly disoriented for the remainder of the day.PRE-MINGLE.
