[ tossing that one in...and the cepheus of this memory looks about the same as the one standing in front of aides.

what materializes is the inside of a hospital room. on the bed is a woman in her early 40s, hair dark and starting to grey. there's a little resemblance to cepheus, mostly in her smile — directed, currently, at the swaddled newborn in her arms. cepheus is recognizable at the bedside with his stepdad, looking somewhere between anxious and elated. he's pretty misty-eyed, but there isn't a dry eye in the room.

his mom suggests he hold the baby, which is met with some pretty emphatic head shaking and hand waving. what if he DROPS THE BABY. what if he BREAKS THE BABY. but she insists and eventually wins, and he gingerly accepts the bundle. the baby fusses at first but eventually quiets, to which his mom proclaims, see? estelle knows her big brother.

(there is a very soft baby toy sitting on the side of the bed. it, like the congratulatory flowers on the windowill, is blue.) ]

Guessed. It was incongruous with the rest of your mental landscape and you got super evasive when it came up when you laugh off some pretty scary stuff otherwise. Also I'm pretty good at recognizing unnatural magical influence on dreams. And then later Lethe accidentally let slip because it seemed like I already knew. But I did basically already know.
