I meant to bring this up after Clover's stunt, but we still don't have a priest. I'm not entirely sure we need one, though Flora did find out there are benefits to having one beyond them just being a middle man.
Mm. I was talking with Charon about it, and one of the things he said is that priests are specifically trained to be able to restrict the demons they summon to the task they summon them for. Summoning them without any kind of restraint, or a restraint that doesn't work properly on them, means they can leave the bounds of that and start a ritual, like what happened with Clover. So if we think we'll want to deal with demons other than Bonbon, we should probably either find a priest to do that for us, or figure out how to do that ourselves.
He also suggested negotiating with Bonbon for more benefits if he were to be our priest, but I don't know that that's a good idea... I'd prefer someone who can provide historical context, connections, and information, the way Lily's priest seems to be doing for them.
I can explain what happened in more detail if you want, Archeron and Flora.
Long story short: the gold demon had statues in his cave that were people he had trapped and we blew it up. [he presses his lips together] So the statues shouldn't be there.
But Charon approached me last night and told me that those trapped souls aren't in Death's realm . . . they're still out there. Killing the demon didn't release them.
[In the immediate aftermath of the ritual, Flora is clearly restless. She manages a shower and a change of clothes, but then is moving around the barn doing random tasks in the way one does when they're attempting to wait a socially appropriate amount of time before calling someone. Organizing her notes. Practicing at the firing range. Making coffee (she only kind of knows how to make coffee).
Eventually she is probably in her room doing cubecalls, or heading out on a few visits, but she'll return eventually.]
Retreating to his room to drink, though he does leave the door open so he isn't just hiding away. Sorry kids, grandpa hit a trauma button in the first round of the game]
[opens the door immediately, because she is just pacing around waiting for it to have been a socially appropriate amount of time to check on people after major trauma,]
TEAM MEETING
Yo! I think we have some things to talk about.
PRIEST??
[nodding towards Flora so she can share her info]
What does everyone think?
Re: PRIEST??
I want to ask Red about it.

GOOD OL' GOLDIE
. . . our new members weren't around for our beef with the golden demon, but it seems like we still have some unfinished business on that front.
[a nod to Tyr]
Tell them what you told me. And then we should plan our next move.

JAZZ
[holding up a finger]
But you guys have the final say— not me. And before you agree, you should know that he totally ate a Clover in round one.
. . . not the actual plant. The flock person.
[. . .]
Sooooo if you don't want that around, I'd completely understand and so would he.
