So you did, miss Spinel.

I’d better at least try to match that. High standards! My boss would be irritated if I didn’t make a respectable showing of myself, in any case.

Something like that. Very much about the dignity of the department -- and she's right to be, I suppose! Church public relations can be serious business.

Catholic church not a big thing where you're from, I take it?

That's...

Y'know, I think that one doesn't exist where I'm from, anymore.

Well.

Most continents got wiped out in the Great Disaster, a long time ago. Europe and the Mediterranean basin remained populated and habitable, but the rest is nuclear wasteland, even to this day. A lot of things from before then were just...lost.

Yeah…

It’s pretty ancient history, but that’s why my world would probably come off pretty differently from a whole Earth.
manwhofelltoearth: (stars collapsed.)

Yeah. Blasted glass and desert, or mutant detritus, as far as I know. Whatever got used on those places was pretty nasty.

It was lucky anywhere stayed intact, really. Europe still got hit, but it was a hit survivors could bounce back from, eventually.

Mm. It’d be nice if it calmed down enough so we could rediscover everything that got buried, but it’s not gonna happen in my lifetime, ha.

Sorry for the sudden downturn.
