WHERE: the beach
WHEN: day 79, night
[ you wash up on the beach. ]
[ the flower seems to have...stood up? and it is playing something on its lyre. an ethereal, waterlogged voice sings in accompaniment. ]
You still do not see. How could you?
[ just like before, now that the ritual is over We Many's words no longer feel like a sledgehammer to the skull, though they're still overwhelming and multi-layered - many voices that sing as one. this time, though, they seemingly come straight from the waves themselves. ]
We know. You do not evolve, even when you survive. How could you?
[ and there's a wave of resentment that tinges the words, the bitterness almost like a physical prickling feeling on one's skin. ]
What remains, is a gift. A final peace offering.
[ and then
the "flower" collapses into a pile of unidentified fish meat. and about sixty pounds more washes up on the shore, as the tide recedes.
no booze this time, though. and no healing. mental effects will fade, though...eventually (aka whenever the player wants them to).
there's probably also some barnacles and mussels and stuff stuck to you also whoops ]
