I thought it would be good incentive if you wanted the excuse. Sometimes it's easier to talk if it feels like you're sharing equally!

Well...maybe.

If incentive isn't your thing, then I won't bother using it as leverage. I've been pretty open with what secrets I can tell, with Lily, so I don't intend to hold you to a different standard if I've mentioned stuff to the others already.

You can say that because we're on the same side. I'm not exactly nice to my opponents.

Well, yeah. That's a given. You haven't seen me or Kevin in combat, but neither of us are winning any awards for being nice to the bad guys.

I've never seen you in combat, but I have seen you fight each other. Does that not count?

No? We're on the same side. We like each other. The sparring's just going easy on each other. Compared to monsters, anyway.

You go easy on each other when you fight?

That's still pulling your punches more than I thought. I guess I don't need to worry about you guys in a fight. Uh--but it's good that you don't overdo it when you're sparring! And that you don't kill mortals.

Yeah, killing fellow demigods or mortals are pretty low on my to-do list. But you really don't need to worry. We've seen plenty of fights against plenty of different kinds of opponents.

Even gods?

I fought Ares when I was twelve. I fought my first Titan when I was fourteen, and he wasn't anywhere near my last. I lost track of how many Giants I killed between my sixteenth and seventeenth birthdays. I wrestled Old Age the day before I landed in the pasture. Yeah, I've fought gods and other immortals.
