BLUEBELL SECURTY SYSTEM

[Has been like half completed for some time, but LIVE as of Day 68]

• Anyone who 'breaks' something on Bluebell premises will be removed from Bluebell by magic (it shunts them out past their fence somewhere. May occasionally drop them in the lazy river since we're close to the edge)
  
• Rubato has purposely left the definition of 'break' as a big umbrella concept that covers both physical and figurative breaking things. Breaking a bone, breaking a dish, breaking a heart, breaking your word, breaking your fast, etc. This can and should be used for comedy.
  
• There is a sign outside Bluebell now, by the moat bridge gate, that warns people that entering Bluebell means they agree to adhere to non-violence. The purpose is if anyone breaks this tacit agreement they get kicked off the property (this is extra assurance in the form of a contract, basically)
  
• Unless they have recently triggered the security system or got full-banned, anyone is still able to just wander up onto Bluebell from any direction, they're just agreeing to get kicked out if they 'break' something.
  
• People who have been whitelisted can break anything they like, the security system will ignore them. To be whitelisted, you gotta give Rubato your blood or a DNA sample :)
  
• Bluebell can give visitors a temporary exemption by giving the guest 10 seconds of physical contact (same as Lily's system) (this just means they're allowed to like break bread or have a breakdown without risk of ejection for the day)

( the creation is in the oven by now, but the scent still wafts through the joint kitchen, surely. )

I mentioned my creations to Fantasia, and he encouraged me to make one. Once the baking process is finished, with a touch of ingenuity and a drop of life, we shall have a new friend present.

You must be... Rubato, yes? As I've already met everyone else. I am Harmony.

There's nothing to forgive, dear. I'm sure everyone has their tasks and hobbies, and I myself have been holed up in the kitchen since. But everyone has been very kind and warm. I... think I might have even made a friend or two off of Bluebell.

I've also regained my ruan- an instrument from home, but one I customized myself- so I think I've lead a rather productive first day.

Merveilleux--how wonderful to hear. The breadth of your pursuits in just one day does sound fulfilling! It's a shame I only caught up to you now, I would have loved to see the creation process for your friend, the ingredients you listed are certainly intriguing!

If it doesn't drain me too much, I may be able to make another one later, providing the first settles in well. I would hate to overwhelm anyone with this- it was... a rather spur of the moment decision, but Fantasia seemed so excited, it was hard to say no. But at the same time, it was fun to make one with company.

( she flips the oven light on and beckons for him to crouch down beside it. it's hard to see while it still bakes but it looks like... a very tall cake? except the front of it is carved with little paws and a sleeping cat face. )

[ well. Kevin WAS going to roll right up and visit, but he winds up hung up on the sign and squinting at it. his vision is barely functional and that demigod dyslexia sure still exists.
