( after some time to rest, sonata eventually settles into the pillowpit with her lavender rabbit and coda, idly feeding the shyder grapes. she's not especially hungry right now, even though she really should eat. )

... I think it's best that we go over what happened but... after a certain point, I'm useless at retelling. You'd have to ask Leviathan for the rest.

( she's quiet. and then, she starts speaking slowly. )

I woke up in a giant bird cage. It was suspended over that fishbowl that was containing Leviathan. The wolf was there beforehand, and said... if we tried to escape, the bars of the cage were electrified, and it would drop immediately, shocking Leviathan to death while I drown. ... And then he gave me a water bottle.

( mostly she's just confused about that. she was back when it happened, too. )

He was trying to get information out of me. After I told him my flock... I just, got the feeling that something terrible would happen to everyone if I kept complying. But, he asked if you took care of me, or prioritized my safety.

... If we were looking for a way home or contacted anyone.

"Have they prioritized your safety? Have you been working to find a way to willingly return to your own realm? Contacted your family? The friends you left behind? The goals you left in the dust?

Or are you all simply wasting time?"

That's what he said.

When I stopped cooperating, he got violent. The cage was armed with drills- ( if it hasn't been healed yet, there's a big bandage on her right arm, which should be telling on it's own. ) ... Eventually he- his shadow claws smacked me? And I haven't been able to hear since.

When I reaffirmed I didn't want to cooperate- because at that point, I was just furious- his claws gripped my head and then pushed me against the walls of the cage to shock me until I was on the verge of passing out.

"Your flock has abandoned you. You can scream, but no one will hear it, including yourself. You chose this fate. ", he said.

After that, I don't know what happened exactly.

[writing a response on paper:]

["I'm so sorry. We should have got there sooner."]

It was only a night. Any longer and he would have won. I know it. ... I got lucky that I annoyed him into giving up for the day early, actually. But I fear he might have taken it out on Leviathan....

( AFTER the big talk about her kidnapping experience- 1/10 stars, ceo only gets a point for the water bottle- sonata is... in the pillow pit with her lavender rabbit, her macaron plushie, coda and so many blankets. a tray with a half-empty cup of tea and a book rests closeby. she is the queen of cozy.

and for the first time in days, she's sleeping.

either nap with her, or coax her from the eventual fitful sleep of a nightmare, your choice. )

... Ah- Coda? What are you- --!! Muffin! You weren't knocking for long, were you...?

[chirps a thank you to the shyder and chirps even more loudly to see sonata]

No, just got here. Wanted to see you were back! And have some snacks I wanted to drop off for your flock.

Ahh. I am, yes. Tart brought me back to the barn after I landed. ... I can't... hear anything right now, so... maybe I might prop a window or one of the doors open, so that it's easier for others to get my attention while I'm the only one here.

( muffins'a smart man, he can surely see that she's actively watching his lips.

the most obvious thing about her state is the brusing by her ears, creeping towards her cheeks. the second would probably be the lichtenberg figures creeping from over her shoulders, behind her neck... as if branching out from her back. she stands up slowly and stiffly so she can properly bring muffin in... )

Good thing didn't come here with beak...

[it's a weak attempt at humor, not really enough to hide how he tenses up when he spies the lichtenberg figures. he's a lightning gryphon, he knows exactly what they are and how much it would take to get that sprawling of a pattern on a person]

I brought um, is just bread. Save some time cooking for resting.

[it's warm stuffed flatbread filled with salad greens and herbs, plus some leftover pita pieces that have been cooked up extra crispy to be drizzled with honey. there's a portion for each Clover, and even one for Your Name, and some extra crunchy nuts on Sonata's for more texture]

( there's a secondary pond that is purely decortaional, surrounded by purple and blue hydrangea outside. sonata likes plants. )
