[Eventful Day 19 for some Bluebells! People using charm spells. People going on nightwalks. People having nightmares. People taking nightwatch. Perhaps now that the sun is up, today might be better? There's more things that need to be done to settle the newbies--bonding activities. The quails need to go on a walk after the morning rain. There's still fountain coins that need spending. Or we may need to scold our shepherd.]

[ QUAILS!! Quails quails quails quails. Mute is just parked by whatever enclosure they are in. Watching. ]

[ kaveh is sitting in bluebell's garden sketching. the moat isn't all that effective and it's bothering him, so he's thinking about how he could re-enforce it. he sighs, tapping his pen to his paper, because short of adding an assortment of dangerous features he's drawing a blank. ]

[ he flips the page and starts working on an upgrade for the quails and the shyders, because he's just like that. mehrak is also sketching! making cute doodles of who/whatever he sees. ]

...ah, that reminds me, I wanted to fill the moat with some fish and aquatic plants. [ he looks to you as you pass, ] Do you mind helping me? [ if nothing else it'll look nicer. ]

We take them out to forage as well, but they will like you if you bring them treats.

[ they crouch nearby holding out the greens in offering and staying stock still. Not looking directly at the birds to give off I’m Not A Predator vibes. ]

[Rubato makes little 'wawah' warbling sounds at the quails, letting them know there's food here before he gives them some space. They are just two crechurs who are definitely not predators! The quails poke out from under their nests to investigate and take a little while to scoot around Mute, fluttering slowly closer, eventually braving New Presence to get at the greens.]

[ Mute is Very Good at staying quiet and still, even as the birds approach. Still, their posture and expression both soften a little as they start to peck at the greens ]

[ and just staying statue still until they’re done eating. They are simply At Peace With Quails. ]

How to improve the moat... [ he flips back to the previous page in his notebook, although there's not much to show. a fence around its perimeter and an actual drawbridge of some kind. ] It seems like it's not working and the weeds are worrying.

But I also want to spruce it up a little.

[ Got dragged home by Rubato in the middle of the night, probably.

He's sprawled out over one of the mattresses in the main area so he can keep an eye on everyone but it's. He's fine. ]

Maybe we need a couch or two . . .

[ He is a little exhausted after last night still. But at least he is up and about. Fantasia made sure to feed him, even, so he's not too worn out from the blood loss.]

But I was thinking we really ought to have a proper draw bridge.

. . . Or what about a proper wall? A moat makes me think of a castle. Don't you think it would look very majestic if we had some castle walls or towers?
