Fi--er... Blood Fiend asked me to run a set of experiments with him.

He would kill himself and ask me to pull his soul back, with varying locations and times. The final experiment was to test the limits of vessels ( gestures to sheep fiend ) and Lily's power, unless I'm wrong in the basis behind that. I might be.

It seems Death had enough of experiments. I wasn't able to fully settle Blood Fiend into his own body. And... something's wrong. His soul doesn't feel like it should anymore. It's not as powerful.

The soul doesn't feel like it's fading, it's... I would say it feels faded. Like he's not quite as vibrant as he should be.

Kill the body. We cannot move him while he is planted in a living one, and the fade may be at least partly attributable to the transplant.

Yup! There's more to it than that, like pH and nutrient levels, but we don't exactly have equipment sophisticated enough to check that right now . . .
