Talking to Vera is definitely on my to-do list. You're right that I don't want to lose any experience, as that's the single greatest advantage of age in the first place. But it's also not enough to be simply be reverted to a younger body, because then I'd be back in this same position again within the decade, but possibly without any ways of fixing it next time.
My ideal would be to find a permanent way to stop aging. But the locals here... thanks to the Forever Snake, they've been trapped in stasis for at least five hundred years now. And while their bodies haven't changed, nothing else about them has, either. They've been unable to learn or grow as people. They've been unable to come up with any kind of meaningful new ideas for solving their problems. And what's the point of being alive if you can't develop yourself over time?
